The James Cook Regional Anaesthesia Nurses Course

 

 

Course information

A one day course aimed exclusively for nurses and ODPs in acute and post-operative pain management and those involved in care of patients receiving regional anaesthetic techniques. 

 

Topics will include:

  • Demonstration of relevant anatomy to regional anaesthesia on cadavers by anatomy lecturers at Durham University
  • Lectures on updates such as lipid rescut, management of patients with regional blocks, testing blocks, rescue analgesia and paediatric regional anaesthesia
  • Three dimensional anatomical projection on volunteers
  • Lectures presented by leading doctors and nurses involved in regional anaesthesia and pain management
  • Opportunity to discuss tips and tricks with experts in regional anaesthesia and pain management
