COURSE OVERVIEW
This is a two day course which includes lectures, practical hands on sessions, question and answer sessions and a round table discussion.  Across the two days delegates will wear a insulin infusion pump as well as gain experiences from patient sessions.

A course dinner on the first evening of the course is included forms part of the learning about estimation of carbohydrate intake.

  • Starting insulin infusion pumps
  • Carbohydrate counting
  • Rationale and evidence base for pump therapy
  • Basal and bolus rates
  • Hypoglycaemia/hyperglycaemia/sick day rules/inpatient care
  • Patient sessions – experiences on pump therapy
  • Paediatrics
  • Special situations - Pregnancy and exercise

  • COST
    £225.00 per delegate which includes all course materials, refreshments and lunch
