CT Head ScanTHE BASICS OF CT HEAD FOR EMERGENCY DOCTORS Academic Centre, The James Cook University Hospital, Marton Road, Middlesbrough, TS4 3BWWednesday 6 May 2009 ABOUT THE COURSE This is a one day conference aimed at all middle grades and consultants in emergency medicine as well as acute medicine physicians who need to know the basics of how to read a CT head scan. The overall aim of the day is to give doctors exposed to CT head scans the basics of how to read these scans and interpret when intervention is required. Topics included on the course: * NICE & SIGN guidelines * Radiography behind CT head scans * Why not MRI * Anatomy * Trauma * Sub-arachnoid haemorrhage * Tumour * Stroke * Paediatric scans * Necks * Quiz and case studies COST £150 per delegate which includes all course materials, refreshments and lunch.
