Safeguarding children - Recognition & Response in Child Protection

A nationally standardised, interactive one-day course recognition and response in child protection has been developed by the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (RCPCH), National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and the Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG).

The course has been developed for doctors in training mainly in paediatrics and accident and emergency, although doctors in training working in general practice and other specialty areas may find aspects of the course relevant.  It is also possible for a nurse to attend if they are named or designated nurse for child protection.
