Ward 1 Clinical Teaching Unit

Ward 1 is located in the Clinical Teaching Unit. This is a purpose built facility ideal for the delivery of undergraduate medical teaching programmes, clinical teaching sessions, courses and examinations.

The unit comprises of five four bedded/bay wards (one open - Ward 1, and four closed - Wards 2 to 5), a nurse station, two medical simulation suites (restricted access), a clinical skills lab, three AVT rooms (used for communication skills), a clean utility, a dirty utility, a student common room, a small meeting room and two seminar rooms.

The closed wards and seminar rooms have moveable walls allowing increased capacity. The unit is equipped with a variety of audio-visual equipment, camera and recording facilities.
