You should apply for the two components as a complete package by completing the on-line application form. Candidates need to have two certificates Part A (VLE) - on-line component and Part B - F2F component to be a certified APLS provider. Following the course, you will continue to have access to the on-line learning environment for a period of 4 years whilst your APLS certificate is valid. This will be particularly use as part of your CPD. CANDIDATES Candidates should be from a medical, nursing, ECP, ODP or RTO* background. *RTOs from any background who work in a paediatric hospital are eligible. RTOs who work in a non-paediatric hospital, with any other background to those already listed, can send an application to the Working Group detailing their paediatric practice and each of these cases will be considered individually. The Working Group also recommend that nurses are senior staff nurses and above. Experienced level 5 staff nurses may take the course. PROVIDER COURSE FEE £515 (includes VLE registration, all course materials & in-house catering) RECERTIFICATION CANDIDATE COURSE FEE £93.00 (includes VLE registration) £120.50 (includes VLE registration and course manual) To recertify as a candidate you are required to undertake part A (on-line component) and successfully attend and complete the testing elements on part B (F2F) on the last day of the course.
