If complaints or claims are made, best practice records means the necessary evidence is available to deal with any complaint, investigation, inquiry or court proceedings, fairly and effectively. This course is targeted at healthcare professionals to equip them with the knowledge; competencies and skills to make records that will advance best practice care and ensure the necessary evidence is available to deal with concerns, complaints and claims. This is an intensive training day. The accountability of the healthcare professional and different ways in which records will be scrutinized, will be analysed and explained. Clinical, professional and legal requirements applying to record keeping will be considered. Common errors in record keeping will be highlighted through trainer led discussions and consideration of real case studies.
